NeonMuse Review 2026

What NeonMuse is

NeonMuse is a web-based AI companion: you create (or pick) a character, chat with them, and ask for images that stay consistent with how the character looks. It runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, so there is nothing to install.

What sets it apart from most AI girlfriend apps is memory. After three weeks of daily conversations, our test companion still remembered details from the first session — a pet’s name, a city, a running joke — without us repeating them.

How we tested it

We used the Premium plan for 30 days, with two separate companions, on desktop and on an Android phone. For each platform in our ranking we run the same script: 200+ messages, 50 generated images, a memory check every week, and a look at billing and account deletion.

Chat quality and memory

Replies are long when the scene needs it and short in casual chat, which keeps conversations natural. The character stayed in role across sessions and corrected itself when we contradicted an earlier fact.

In week three we asked “do you remember where I said I grew up?” — it answered correctly and added a detail from week one.

Image generation

Images are generated inside the chat. The face, hair and style stay consistent from one image to the next, which is the hardest thing for this kind of tool. Generation takes 8–15 seconds on Premium.

Pricing: what you really pay

The monthly plan is $12.99. The annual plan works out at $5.99 a month and adds voice calls — it is the plan we recommend if you plan to stay more than two months.

Privacy and billing

Account deletion is available from settings and removes chat history. Payments appear under a neutral company name on the card statement.

Verdict

If you want one AI companion that does chat, memory and images well, NeonMuse is the one to beat in 2026.
